Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert wants to make sure that all of our city's economically-disadvantaged students have a great start to a great new school year.

Mayor Leppert also has lots of friends who want to help.

The Mayor's Back to School Fair is a collaborative effort between the City of Dallas, Dallas-area schools, state and local agencies, non-profit organizations, good corporate citizens ... and hundreds of volunteers.

Completely funded by private donations and in-kind contributions, the Mayor's Back to School Fair will introduce parents and children to a wide range of education, health and social services:

• Parents will love the community resources booths and free health, dental and vision screenings for their kids.
• Students will love the interactive demonstrations, entertainment, activities ... and free school supplies!
